Axelrod Said It Out Loud

If you don’t know who David Axelrod is, you probably should. He is as steeped in the United States Democratic Party as anyone on the planet. He is also a well-known liberal political operative that is sought after globally. If there has been an important election in the last forty years, he has been standing on the blue side of it.

Axelrod started out writing for the Chicago Tribune, which has had a significant left lean since the 1970s. From there, the list of Democrat politicians he has worked with and for is a veritable “who’s who”. Senator Paul Simon, Chicago Mayors Harold Washington and Richard Daley Jr., John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, Rahm Emanuel, and President Obama to name a few. Internationally, he has been involved with liberal candidates in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Italy.

Of note, he also wrote an op-ed for the Chicago Tribune where he advocated FOR patronage, which is unethical but common in Chicago politics, and he also opposed the normalization of impeachment…not because he didn’t believe in the concept but because he thought it would be wielded too easily.

Did I mention he has been a political analyst for CNN since 2015?

Bottom line: This guy knows politics and he knows the liberal lean.

At this stage in his career, he co-hosts a podcast. It’s called Hacks on Tap. He recently said something that the Democrats didn’t need to be said about the impact of Hurricane Helene on the Presidential election.

“Those voters in Asheville are — they’re, you know, the kind of voters that will figure out a way to vote. You know, they’re upscale, kind of liberal voters, and they’re probably going to figure out a way to vote.” He also referred to Asheville as a “blue dot” on the map, meaning it is a Democrat city. He followed it up with…

“I’m not sure a bunch of these folks who’ve had their homes and lives destroyed elsewhere in western North Carolina — in the mountains there — are going to be as easy to wrangle for the Trump campaign.”

You can interpret that how you want. I read it as “The Democrats in Asheville are smarter and have more money. They will figure out a way to vote for Kamala Harris, even if it costs money. The people in the mountains are conservative and they are really hurting right now, financially and personally. They probably aren’t going to vote.”

What does that mean? It means, this is why the government isn’t helping. They don’t have to help anyone, really. The people they need to vote are going to vote, with or without help. The people they don’t want to vote, aren’t going to vote because they are busy digging themselves out of a disaster. It doesn’t look discriminatory, because NO ONE is getting help but they are getting the outcome they want.

Listen, the guy who said it is a high-end, liberal political mercenary. Not me. He did.

And look a step deeper. The last thing that will be set up, even if the government does step in to help, are voting centers. You can guarantee that. The state of North Carolina needs to get off their ass and get a couple of dozen mobile voting stations set up and ready to move. Mount those voting booths in tractor trailers and GET THEM TO THE PEOPLE. Start the process NOW and not three weeks from now.

You can bet the Federal Government isn’t going to rush in and help because it puts the election at risk. No one can say they didn’t know, or they didn’t see this coming. Everyone has enough warning to FIX THIS before election day.

Why? Because Axelrod Said It Out Loud.
