The Bureau That Cried Wolf
It’s been four days since the incidents in New Orleans and Las Vegas. The only thing we know for sure is the Federal Bureau of Investigations has done more harm than good in determining exactly what happened on New Years Day.
The last five years (or longer) have bred an unprecedented lack of trust in the FBI. Whether they have been inept, corrupt, incompetent, or deliberately deceptive, the LEADERSHIP of the Bureau have made their entire organization look like garbage. I feel for the agents out there, busting their ass, putting themselves at risk only to have the leadership degrade the hard work they are putting in.
In short, no one believes them anymore. Whether lies or incompetency, they have become the Bureau that Cried Wolf.
It was immediately apparent in New Orleans the FBI leadership and local law enforcement were NOT on the same sheet of music. Special Agent Alethea Duncan came out very quickly, without an ounce of prudence, and declared the actions by Shamsud-Din Jabbar as NOT a terror attack. At the time, no one knew the name of the attacker. No one knew his background or motivation. The attacker was dead. There was a large area cordoned off and being searched as a crime scene AND to determine if there were continued threats to the public.
The Mayor of New Orleans and local law enforcement had a very different take on what happened. “Terror” and “terrorist” were used very early in press conferences. You could argue they were acting without prudence as well, by using those terms without merit. However, the truck had been recovered and there WAS an ISIS flag and an explosive inside. Additionally, Jabbar had DRIVEN through a crowd and initiated a SHOOTOUT with police. Whether the act was inspired by ISIS, any form of Islamic terrorism, or even domestic terrorism … it was DEFINITELY an act of terror.
Even the FBI involvement screamed “terrorism”. If this was simply a crazy person, there would be no reason for the Bureau to get involved and it would have been left to local law enforcement. Even a casual observer knew something was off. The FBI changed their stance within a few hours, but faith was already lost. So much had become public about the attack that pointed directly toward terrorism, everyone stopped listening to the FBI.
A small detail, but somewhat relevant. Special Agent Duncan appeared for the press conference with a nose ring. While many people wouldn’t notice or wouldn’t care, the nose ring is against FBI regulations for agents. She was out of uniform. Does that matter? It really does. It shows a lack of preparedness, a lack of professionalism, and a lack of awareness by Agent Duncan. More importantly, it shows her team was either afraid to say anything to her BEFORE she went on camera, they didn’t care enough about her to say something, OR they saw the nose piercing and decided to let her be out of uniform in the public eye. Regardless, it is a demonstration of a questionable team environment.
Within a few hours, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded in front of the Trump Tower in Las Vegas. There was a body inside. The explosion looked like something out of a Michael Bay film because the truck had been loaded with fireworks. We didn’t know much except the truck was still standing and there were few other injuries as a result of the explosion. People started to ask questions, especially in relation to the attack in New Orleans.
You know who no one was looking to for answers? The FBI.
They had cried wolf again and no one wanted to hear their opinion on anything.
Independent journalists began to take over. The Shawn Ryan show, within 36 hours, had emails and contact information about Master Sergeant Matthew Livelsberger. There was plenty of information coming out. Rumors of anti-Trump and anti-Musk messaging were quickly being dispelled.
Simultaneously, more information about New Orleans was being revealed. The truck was a rental. Jabbar’s name was revealed along with his Army service. He was rumored to have accomplices. There were other devices. His AirBnB was raided. Family members were being interviewed.
We were learning more about MSG Livelsberger. His wife left him just days before. He was concerned about Chinese drones on the east coast. His mental state came into question. Even MMA Fighter and former Special Forces Soldier Tim Kennedy was speaking publicly about his professional relationship with Livelsberger.
The whole time, people STOPPED listening to the FBI. People were listening to Tim Kennedy and NOT the FBI. If you don’t know how relevant that is, you need to do some research on Kennedy’s reputation.
All the information we were getting was from independent journalists and State Run (mainstream) Media. That’s quite a statement about the level of trust, or lack thereof, in the FBI. But that is what you get after more than four years of incompetency and lies.
No one listens to you because you have become The Bureau That Cried Wolf.
